The scourge of human sex trafficking is more than a $150 Billion dollar criminal enterprise. In the United States, during 2019 alone more than 22,000 women were rescued from the shackles of sexual exploitation. As horrifying as these numbers appear they remain only the tip of the iceberg. All over this nation there are women enslaved in this dehumanizing illicit industry. Literally, many are living right next door.

Our Mission

Scarlet Thread is a 501(c)3 nonprofit faith based organization providing a safe place to women who have recently escaped sexual exploitation find hope & healing.

Scarlet Thread is currently planning on opening 2 state of the art facilities: a short term emergency shelter and long term specialized recovery home at no cost to the women.

It is our goal that every survivor victimized through sexual exploitation finds freedom, restoration and empowerment to pursue her dreams and find true freedom. Our passion at Scarlet Thread, is to equip every woman not only to find restoration, but to discover their true identity as a Daughter of The Most High.

Magnolia House

Located in Tennessee, The Magnolia House will be a state of the art short term emergency shelter facility providing a safe place to begin the recovery process for women who have just escaped human trafficking. Magnolia House will serve an immediate and critical need by offering immediate shelter and care for those rescued within hours. At Magnolia House the women will begin the process of healing and recovery in a safe environment as they await acceptance into a specialized long term program. Due to the lack of available and safe emergency shelters for victims of sexual exploitation, many women are unfortunately forced back into the very life they fled. Magnolia House will help fill this needed void.

Long Term Recovery Home

In addition to ‘Magnolia House’, Scarlet Thread is also planning the construction and opening of a state of the art long term recovery home. Here we will offer specialized long term residential care for women who have escaped the shackles of human trafficking. In this facility, women will find hope, recovery, restoration and empowerment through a holistic faith based program at no charge to the resident. Survivors here will undergo evidence based and trauma informed care, counseling, life and much needed work skills development.
